Mason Mount was born in Portsmouth on 10 January 1999 and joined Chelsea at six, after a spell training one day a week at both Portsmouth and Chelsea. He went out on loan to Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County between 2017 and 2019, then established himself at Chelsea, winning the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup in 2021 and taking the club’s player of the year award in both 2020-21 and 2021-22. He left for Manchester United in July 2023 for an initial £55 million.
