Ivory Coast retro shirts: the Elephants in orange
Few national kits stand out in a crowd like the orange of Ivory Coast. Below you will find shirts from the golden generation of the mid-2000s through to the recent Africa Cup of Nations winners: home and away kits, authentic player versions and training tops.
Three World Cups and three African titles
The Elephants first won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1992. The golden generation of Didier Drogba, Yaya and Kolo Toure took them to three World Cups in a row from 2006, and they won the African title again in 2015. Another followed when the country hosted the tournament in 2023, with the final played in early 2024. The shirts follow that rise, from the first World Cup kits to the latest stars.
Puma from start to finish
Puma has dressed Ivory Coast for the whole span covered here, and the collection shows how the brand’s African kits changed. The mid-2000s shirts are loose and plain, the 2010 kits bring bolder graphics, and the newer shirts are lighter, slimmer authentic versions. Orange is always at home, with white or green as the change colour.
A Drogba shirt
There is a 2006-07 home shirt with Drogba and the number 11 on the back, from the time he was scoring for Chelsea most weekends. Printed shirts are otherwise few, so most of the list is plain kits you can personalise or keep as they are.
Authentic or replica
Authentic shirts are cut tighter than replica versions, so go up a size if you prefer a looser fit. Every shirt shows its condition score.
