From Germany 2006 to an Asian Cup

The Socceroos reached the knockout stage of the 2006 World Cup, their first finals for 32 years, and went out to Italy to a late penalty. The same year they left Oceania for the Asian Football Confederation, and in 2015 they won the Asian Cup on home soil. That run is covered almost season by season here.

Home gold, away navy and green

Nike has made the kit throughout the period on this page. The home shirts are gold with green trim, with the odd experiment in pattern. The away shirts are mostly darker designs. Player issue shirts from 2010-11 are worth a look for collectors, and there are training tops and a track jacket from the Nike range too.

Cahill, Jedinak and Kerr

A 2006-08 home shirt with Tim Cahill’s name recalls the Everton man who scored Australia’s first ever World Cup goals that summer. A 2014-16 away shirt carries Mile Jedinak, captain at the Asian Cup win. The Matildas have shirts here too, including a 2023-24 home shirt with Sam Kerr on the back from the home World Cup.

Women’s cuts and sizes

Women’s cut shirts are listed as such, so check the label before ordering. The Socceroos shirts from the 2000s are the loosest fit on the page. Check the size and condition score on each listing.
