Why nothing earlier survives here

Ceni played 870 league games for Sao Paulo between 1993 and 2015, after 12 appearances for Sinop in 1990, and won 17 caps for Brazil between 1997 and 2006. The catalogue covers only his final two seasons. Brazilian club shirts from the 1990s and 2000s rarely reach the British second-hand trade, and goalkeeper shirts were produced in far smaller numbers than outfield ones, so the earlier decades are effectively unavailable rather than simply out of stock.

He is recognised as the goalkeeper with the most goals scored in the history of the game, and the 01 on these shirts is the number he wore throughout. He now works as a coach.
