Middlesbrough retro shirts: red with a white chest band

Middlesbrough’s red home shirt, often with a white band across the chest, is one of the cleaner designs in English football. Here you’ll find Middlesbrough shirts from the mid-1990s on, from home and away kits to training tops and goalkeeper shirts.

The Riverside years

The collection starts in 1995-96, the club’s first season at the Riverside Stadium, and that era is still the one many supporters look for. Juninho, Fabrizio Ravanelli and Paul Merson made Middlesbrough one of the most talked-about sides in the country in the late 1990s. Errea and adidas made many of the shirts here, and both gave the red home shirt its own look.

From the 2004 League Cup to today

The 2004 League Cup, the club’s first major trophy, and the run to the 2006 UEFA Cup final are high points of the 2000s. Shirts from the 2010s make up the largest part of the collection, with Jonathan Woodgate among the printed names.

Size and condition

Each shirt is graded on condition and listed with its size. The selection is smaller than for the bigger clubs, so it is worth checking back if the season you want is not here yet.
