Jamaica retro shirts: the Reggae Boyz – page 2
Jamaica’s shirts have a following far beyond the island, not least among British fans with family ties to the Caribbean. Below you will find shirts from the 1998 World Cup kit to the latest adidas range: home and away shirts, training tops, jackets and printed shirts.
France 98 and the Reggae Boyz
Jamaica reached the 1998 World Cup in France, the first English-speaking Caribbean side to qualify. They beat Japan in their final group game and brought colour, music and a squad that included several players from English clubs. The 1998-2000 Kappa home shirt from that era is the one most people look for, and there are home, away and training versions here.
Uhlsport, Puma, Umbro and adidas
After Kappa came shirts from Uhlsport in the mid-2000s, then Puma, Romai and Umbro. adidas has made the kit in recent years and brought out a large range of shirts, jackets and leisure wear. The modern gear makes up much of the list, so it is easy to find something to wear today as well as something to collect.
Bailey, Antonio and Gray
Prints are recent and follow the Premier League connection. Leon Bailey and Michail Antonio have home and away shirts from 2022 to 2025, and Demarai Gray’s name sits on the newest home and away shirts with the number 10. Antonio and Gray were born in England and chose Jamaica, while Bailey was born on the island.
Which version to pick
Authentic shirts are slimmer than the standard replicas and use lighter fabric. The 1998 Kappa shirts are looser. Each item lists size and condition, so pick by the measurements if you are unsure.
