Roma were formed by a merger in 1927 and have played in the Italian top flight every season but one, 1951-52. The carmine red and golden yellow are the colours of the city and of the commune’s own seal, and the kit was inherited from Roman Football Club, one of the three clubs that merged. White shorts and black socks normally accompany the red shirt, but for the biggest matches the shorts and socks match the shirt, which is worth knowing when a listing shows an all-red set. The away kit is traditionally white. The badge carries the she-wolf with Romulus and Remus, and the club is nicknamed i lupi as well as i giallorossi. Roma have played at the Stadio Olimpico since 1953.
This is one of the biggest club selections on the site, running from 1979 to 2026. Of roughly 1,100 items, 440 fall in the 2000s and 394 in the 2010s, with 150 from the 1990s, 80 from the 2020s and 30 from the 1980s. Kit branding is the fastest date check: Kappa appears on 198 items, Nike on 129, Diadora on 100, with smaller numbers from Asics, adidas and New Balance.
Home shirts number 288, but track jackets, hooded rain jackets and padded bench coats together reach 256 – an unusually deep run of touchline wear. There are 105 away shirts, 100 third and fourth kits, 49 goalkeeper shirts, 77 training tops, 33 match-issue and 30 player-issue items, and 19 name sets, which are the printed name and number alone with no shirt. Roma won Serie A in 1941-42, 1982-83 and 2000-01, the Fairs Cup in 1960-61 and the first Conference League in 2021-22.
