England shirts survive in greater numbers than anything else here. The selection runs from 1970 to the current season, with the 2000s and 2010s accounting for the bulk of it, a large block from the 1990s, a much thinner one from the 1980s and only a dozen or so items from the 1970s. Training wear is as numerous as home shirts, and away shirts are close behind, so the listing is far broader than the white match shirt most people picture.

Dating an England shirt

England play in white shirts with navy shorts, and the away kit is traditionally red. Several details pin down a season. Umbro first agreed to make the kit in 1954 and has supplied most of it since, the exceptions being Bukta from 1959 to 1965 and Admiral from 1974 to 1984; Nike, which bought Umbro in 2008, took over as supplier in 2013. The grey away kit was worn only three times, all in 1996, including the Euro 96 semi-final against Germany, and was dropped after complaints. Red remained the away colour until a navy kit arrived in 2011. Pale blue third shirts were used at the 1970 World Cup and again from 1986 to 1992. A star above the three lions marks the 1966 World Cup and was introduced in 2003.

Because this page matches on the country name, listings for the New England Revolution and other American clubs appear alongside the national team. There are also under-21 and under-18 shirts, Lionesses shirts, goalkeeper kit, match-issue and player-issue shirts, polo shirts and track jackets. Prices run from a few pounds for a worn training top to four figures for the rarest match-worn items.
